Solidaritas.net, Jakarta –To officially launch “One Million Houses Program” for labor or the construction of Rental Modest Flat (Rusunawa) for factory labor in Gedanganak village East Ungaran, Semarang, Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo invited 5 Presidents of the labor unions to go on plane and attend the inauguration on Wednesday (29/04/2015).The presidents of trade union who were invited including the President of the Confederation of Indonesian Prosperous Labor Union (KSBSI) Mudhofir Khamid, the President of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers Union (KSPSI) Andi Gani Nenawea, the President of the Confederation of Indonesian Workers Union (KSPI) Said Iqbal, the Chairman of the Confederation of Indonesian Labor Union Alliance (KASBI) Nining Elitos, and the Chairman of the Federation of Indonesian Harbor Transportation Labor Union (FSBTPI) Ilhamsyah.
"This is a history for Indonesian labor. Jokowi is the first Indonesian president who invites the leaders of labor organizations to use presidential plane, "said Andi Gani, quoted from Kompas.com.
Meanwhile, KSBSI’s president Mudhofir Khamid stated, "We are invited to witness the laying of the first stone of rental flat for labor. Yesterday, Mr. President invited us to have lunch together, "quoted from JPNN.com.
Andi Gani and Mudhofir were indeed Jokowi supporters since the 2014 presidential election, while Said Iqbal of FSPMI was a Prabowo Subianto supporter.
On Tuesday (28/04/2015), the leaders of labor union had lunch together with Jokowi at the State Palace. Also attending were Wahyu Susilo and Anis Hidayah from Migrant Care, as well as German Anger, Indra Munaswar, and Timboel Siregar from the Political Committee of Indonesian Labor (KPBI).

On this occasion, President Jokowi also promised to discuss the migrant labor issues exclusively with Migrant Care.
